- The Case of the Complainant is that the Complainant has deposited an amount of Rs.100000/-(Rupees one lakh)only each in four numbers of term deposit on dated 20/12/2021 at post office of Bhukta Branch before the Opposite Party No.1 total amounting to Rs.4,00,000/-(Rupees four lakh)only for a period of four years. That, the Complainant is a retired person and for financial crisis want to broke a T.D. vide no. 020026740954 and requested to the Opposite Party No.1 but the Opposite Party No.1 showed his unwillingness on Dt. 23/02/2022, the Complainant send a request letter to the Opposite party No.2 but the Opposite Party No.2 never replied.
Hence, being aggrieved, this Complaint was filed.
- The Case of the Opposite parties are that the Opposite Party No.2 did not appear before this Commission.
Hence, Set Exparte.
The Opposite Party No.1 filed its version and stated that the Opposite Party No.1 was working at SPM Bhukta Sub Office from 7/2020 to 8/2022. That, the petitioner opened T.D. Account vide No. 0200267804954 on Dt. 20/12/2021 of Rs. 1,00,000/-(Rupees one lakh)only. The petitioner asked to close the account on 23/02/2022 after two months of the account. As per SB Order No. 9/2015 Issued by Govt. of India, Ministry of Communication and IT. Dt. 03/09/2015 the premature withdrawl of a Time deposit (TD) can be allowed six months after opening of account. The said Account No. 020026704954 of the petition has already been closed and paid to him on Dt. 27/06/2022 after completion of locking period of six months.
The Complainant petition is liable to dismissed against the Opposite Party No.1.
- Perused the Complaint and documents filed by the parties and it reveals that the Complainant has deposited Rs. 1,00,000/-(Rupees one lakh)only toward T.D. bearing account no. 020027604954. The Complainant has filed this Complainant that the Opposite parties failed to close the account before the maturity period. The Complainant went to the Opposite Party No.1 after 2 months for closure of accounts but as per the guidelines issued by the ministry of Communication and IT, Dept. of post Dt. 03/09/2015 Post Offices will not allow closure of any TD Account opened form date of receipt up to 6 months period from date of opening of Account. The Complainant has only filed the Complaint petition, no other documents were filed by the Complainant in support of his case.
The Opposite Parties has rightly done their duty and closed the account of the Complainant after the period of six months.
As discussed Supra, there is no deficiency in service on the part of the Opposite Parties.
Accordingly it is ordered.

The Complaint is dismissed against the Opposite Parties. No cost to the Complainant.
